Homelessness in Maryland

These numbers are why The Weeping Willow Foundation-All Free Cutz Corp does this work — behind every number is a person who deserves dignity, care, and hope.

From HUD's 2025 Point-in-Time Count, a one-night count each January:

• 7,120 people in Maryland experienced homelessness on a given night in 2025.

• About 925 people (13%) were unsheltered — sleeping outside, in cars, or in places not meant for human habitation.

• About 6,195 people (87%) were sheltered — staying in emergency shelters or transitional housing.

This is a one-night snapshot, so it undercounts the true number of people experiencing homelessness.

This is why the foundation provides free haircuts and grooming, warm clothing, and essential supplies to people facing homelessness, addiction, or hardship across Maryland.
